Hi Scrappers,
I managed to get this weeks sketch challenge done at Waltzingmouse -
It may not appear to be anything like the sketch but it is based on it - honest! I just put the design in the centre instead of at the side and used a square card instead of a C6 size. The 2 squares either side of the image are actually one square from the Labels 1 Nestie, cut in half. You see? Obvious.
It would have been nice to put a few flowers on but it's for a blokey friend, who really hasn't got much of a feminine side!

Pain's just no good for the mojo
Hi Scrappers,
Looking at this blog you'd think I didn't scrapbook anymore. But I've been scrapping away with some Scrapville goodies and a sketch that Anita has provided for this months challenge over on the blog. Here's the sketch:
and here's what I came up with...
It hasn't got as much on as I'd like - this is because I broke my toe when I was right in the middle of making it. By walking into a wall. And I hadn't even had a drink. I blame it on the fact that I turned 40 a couple of weeks ago! Now slamming your toe that hard into a wall does hurt quite a lot and really doesn't help your scrapping mojo so to me it looks a little unfinished.
Anita's also done a fab card sketch for the monthly challenge -
For this one I used a heap of Pebbles papers, an Imaginisce stamp and my Waltzingmouse stamps -
Since 3 of my friends are pregnant I figure there's a chance I'll need a baby boy card pretty soon!
Finally (yep, it's a long post), I've had a play with my beautiful monthly Scrapville pack - it's full of papers and embellishments by Scrapcake called My Private Happiness. Very different to my usual style (flowers?) but I'm really happy with how the card and layout have turned out:
Well, that's more than enough for this post. Hope you all have a fabulous week and thanks for stopping by,
Cheers,
Claire xx

Squeezing in time for MME
Hi Scrappers,
I've got heaps to show - lots of Scrapville projects to upload. But first I'm uploading the card I've done for the MME challenge this month. This time I actually stuck to the rules, unlike last month when I forgot to stick to the actual theme for the challenge. Oops. Mother brain again. You can find the sketch here.
The theme this month is 'anything goes' so I chose to make a ten year anniversary card for some friends. It's the only anniversary I ever remember as my husband proposed to me at their wedding (don't worry - we didn't steal their thunder and kept it quiet until we got home.) We were in a very posh hotel and he proposed to me in the hotel car park. There happened to be a Ferrari parked next to us at at the time and, to this day, I reckon he was proposing to the car. After 10 years together, he probably wished he had done - it would have nagged him less!
Anyway, that's enough babble for now.

More Waltzingmouse
Hi Scrappers,
How much can you get done with a square punch, some stamps and a couple of sheets of MME? I've been going through a bit of a pink and grey phase in the last few days as a friend of mine asked me to make a wedding card using these colours. I decided to use this weeks sketch at Waltzingmouse as a starting point for a couple of them:
I seem to remember getting the pattern for the last card off Split Coast ages ago, so it's not a complete original. Those new stamps of mine are certainly getting a work out - I think I've got stampers RSI again!

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge
Hi Scrappers,
I thought I'd have a go at this weeks Waltzingmouse sketch challenge together with the colours from the Play Date Cafe:
I was going to stick a few pretty flowers around the frame but thought it would be fine as is for a blokey card. I never seem to have any of those lying around!
As you can see, I still haven't got over my Stella and Rose fetish.

Come Waltzing With Me
Hi Scrappers,
I've always been a huge fan of Waltzing Mouse stamps - the March blog hop is happening now with a St Patricks Day/Irish/green theme. In other words you need to create something using Waltzing Mouse stamps and the colour green (or you can use something 'green', as in recycled) and link it to the blog on 17th March.
Here's what I came up with -
Check out that musical note stamp - isn't it gorgeous? The image came out so clear I reckon you can barely tell it's a stamp. The flowers are from Green Tara and the patterned paper is Papertrey Ink.
Well, I'm off to play a little bit more now - hope you have a happy and creative week!
