CFC153 - Gift Tags

 Hello, hello!

Friday has rolled around once again and we have a brand new challenge for you over at the CAS-ual Fridays challenge blog:

It's time to make a gift tag - either on it's own or as part of a card. For this one I used CAS-ual Fridays Scallop Tags. I blended a distress ink background and embossed the leaf image in gold from Pretty Posies. I then added a couple more blooms from the same set,  which have been die cut using the matching Posies Fri-dies. The sentiment is from Bold Wishes.
.

So now it's your turn to get stamping - you have until Tuesday 9th August to link up your tags to be in with a chance of winning a CAS-ual Fridays gift certificate worth $25.00. Use CAS-ual Fridays products as the main focus of your tag or card and Michele will even double the prize!

For some more inspiration using CAS-ual Fridays products, make sure you check out the gorgeous projects that the rest of the DT have made won't you?

Thanks for stopping by!

Papertrey Ink July Blog Hop

Hello folks!

Not much inkiness in this household lately as I've had family over from the UK.  I did manage to make a quick card for July's PTI Blog Hop though:

For such pretty colours in the inspiration pic,  I seem to have made a very masculine card.  I used  Stylish Sentiments Birthday and Center Style: Masculine, together with the matching die.  The panel has been die cut out of a soft stone card stock (it looks like kraft in the photo for some reason) and for once in my life I actually had some of the PTI colours - Berry Sorbet and Aqua Mist.

Hope you have a great week!

Not Quite Van Gogh

Hello!

This week's cue word of 'art' at Casology was the perfect excuse to practise a bit of watercolouring with my Zig markers:

Van Gogh's sunflower paintings came to mind so  I stamped and watercoloured PTI's sunflowers from Autumn Abundance. Ok, so mine's not quite in the same league and definitely won't fetch $39 million at auction but it's still a little bit of clean and simple art isn't it?

Enjoy your week!

CFC #152: Tic Tac Toe

Hello!

It's Friday so it's time for a new challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays!  This week we're having a game of Tic Tac Toe - choose a line of 3 from the grid below to create your card. You can pick diagonally, vertically or horizontally:

I went for the diagonal and made a card in monochromatic pinks, with a scattering of enamel dots and sequins.  I kept it very clean and simple using stamps from Loving Thoughts.

Don't forget, if you use CAS-ual Fridays stamps and dies as the focus of your card, you can double your prize and win a $50.00 gift voucher to the CAS-ual Fridays store. Post your creations by July 26th to be in with a chance to win!

Thanks for calling by!

Freshly Made Sketch #244

Hello folks!

A very quick post for the latest Freshly Made Sketch:

I started this card very late in the day and quickly realised that I had very few Copics suitable for colouring farm animals! Yet another excuse to buy more them. The stamp set is Funny Farm Crew from Your Next Stamp. Not sure where the cows are and why they're not partying with the rest of the animals on the farm....perhaps they've gone clubbing instead...

Have a fabulous Monday!

Mojo Monday 455

Hello again!

It's contest week over at Mojo Monday and as soon as I saw the sketch I had an idea based on my previous card:

I can't get enough of these sweet MFT elephants - as with the other card I sponged a sky background and then added a Memory Box sunburst in the corner.  It looked a bit unfinished surrounded by white so I framed the little scene with a kraft border.  It's quite a difficult sketch I think but I'm really happy how it turned out!

Thanks for popping by!

MY Favourite Things Sketch Challenge

G'day!

There's a sweet sketch over at My Favourite Things which inspired me to ink up one of my new sets - Adorable Elephants:

The Blueprints 24 dies were perfect for this sketch so I used those for the die cuts. I inked up a cloudy sky background and sun, added a strip of grass using the label die with a scrap of patterned paper and then did nothing but stamp and colour. We're at nanny and poppy's at the moment so my craft supplies are a little limited but who needs embellishments when you have stamps and ink?

Have a fabulous week!

Pretty Diamonds all in a Row

Hello again!

Time for a Casology card where the cue word is 'row':

I used the smaller diamond stamp from CAS-ual Fridays Bold Wishes. Talk about needing a steady hand -  quite amazingly for me I managed to stamp all those rows in perfect alignment first time....it's the little things that make us happy eh?!

Have a fabulous weekend!

CFC #151

Hello stampers!

It's time for a brand new challenge at CAS-ual Fridays:

Are you feeling patriotic?  It's Independence Day in the US on Monday so this challenge is perfect timing for those of you who want to make a card to celebrate.

I used a whole heap of CAS-ual Fridays goodies to make mine. The big, bold sentiment is from Bravo which has a variety of large sentiment stamps to help you celebrate someone's special achievement.  The High 5 is the perfect size for the Funky Square Tag Fri-die which I stamped with some red and blue chevrons from Zigs and Zags. I also white embossed the larger chevron stamp from the same set to add some subtle detail to the background behind the tag.

So are you ready to get those fingers inky? You have until Tuesday 12th July to link up your new creations and be in with a chance to win a $25.00 CAS-ual Fridays gift certificate. Use CAS-ual Fridays stamps and dies as the main image and the prize will be doubled!

And don't forget to pop along to these lovely ladies' blogs for some more CAS-ual inspiration:
