Papertrey Ink - June Blog Hop!

Hello bloggers!

I can't remember the last time I played along with a Papertrey Ink Blog Hop - it's not through lack of trying, just lack of time unfortunately!

June's inspiration image is another rainbow coloured concoction - I absolutely promise this is my last rainbow coloured creation - at least for this month:

As you can see I've been inspired by all those beautiful,  bright colours.  I used Grunge Me and the sentiment is from Stylish Sentiments, as is the teeny tiny star that I've stamped in the centre of some of the circles. It kind of looked a little busy with all that stamping and colour so I die cut a circle from the pattern and added a black border to break it up a bit.

I'm also joining in with Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday challenge which has a 'bright and cheerful' theme.

Looking forward to sitting down with a coffee and seeing what everyone else has been inspired by!

Thanks for popping by,

Claire x

Your Next Stamp Feature Day - Animal Antics!

Hello folks,

It's Feature Day over at Your Next Stamp where I'm guest designing for a couple of months. The YNS Design Team have chosen their favourite animal sets (and there's a lot of them!) to make a card:

Funny Farm Crew was one of my first YNS purchases and it's still one of my favourites. They're such a happy little bunch of farm critters, perfect for practising those colouring skills. I've used some very old patterned papers which is a great way to quickly create a sky and grass. The fence is a sparkly sticker won in a competition about 8 years ago...I knew I'd get to use it one day!

Go and check out which animal sets the DT have chosen to use in their creations, then head to YNS to see what cute creatures are in the store.

Since I've been colouring again I'm popping this one over to The Daily Marker's 30 Day Coloring Challenge too!

Thanks for popping by!

More Rainbows!

Hello again,

I'm just sneaking in with a quick card before CAS-ual Friday's latest challenge closes . The theme is 'Boys of Summer.' What better way to represent Summer than using bright, rainbow colours:

I used Amazeballs for this (now retired) and a sentiment by Waltzingmouse.  I coloured the circles with Copics and added some Glossy Accents to the black dots.  I used the sketch over at CAS(E) This Sketch and the rainbow theme again from Addicted to CAS as well as the Geometrics theme from AAA Cards!

Enjoy your day!

Rainbow Friend

Hello folks!

Time for another card for one of my favourite challenge words at Addicted to CAS - 'rainbow:'

I used MFT's Happy Hippos and the rainbow coloured edge under the card panel was done with PTI's Watercolor Wonder. Am I allowed to say I'm really happy with how it turned out?

The theme over at Less is More is friendship so I'm also popping it in their latest challenge as well as the 30 Day Coloring Challenge at The Daily Marker.

Happy stamping!

Your Next Stamp - Design Team Dare - Comment to Win!

Hello bloggers!

Your Next Stamp is giving you yet another opportunity to win over on the YNS blog with it's latest Design Team Dare - this month we've been dared to create a Summer themed card:

I used Spec-tacular Phoebe and Friends to create a little Summer scene.  The stamped strip behind the panel has been done using Cool Backgrounds - I stamped it in orange and then stamped over the top of it in yellow to give a two tone effect.

Head on over to the blog to see how the Design Team have been inspired by the challenge - make a comment on the blog and you could be randomly picked to win the stamp set of your choice!

Happy stamping!

Farmyard Fun

Hello again,

The 30 Day Coloring Challenge has been inspiring me to get my Copics out again - this time for CASology where the cue word is 'farm.'

It gave me the perfect excuse to ink up one of my favourite stamp sets from Your Next Stamp - Funny Farm Crew. I framed them using their InstaLove Polaroid Die Set which I've coloured using MFT's Wood Plank backgound stamp.

Have a great week!

Your Next Stamp - June 2018 Blog Hop!

Hello folks!

I'm delighted to be guest designer once again for Your Next Stamp this month.  As always there are some wonderful opportunities to join in the fun, make a comment and win a $25.00 gift certificate to spend in the store.

Today there's a Favourites Blog Hop - the design team have used some of their favourite YNS products to create a card:

I find it difficult to find good masculine stamps but I've always loved this little fella from Nailed It. It's a great set as the sentiments cover just about every kind of occasion for the men in your life....thank-you, Father's Day and birthday. It's particularly suited to my bloke who's the handiest man around! I love the tools that come with the set - they're all single stamps so they can be stamped and coloured, then piled together like I've done here or used multiple times to create a background.

There's no new release this month - however, there is a CRAZY good SALE:

  • You must enter the code - no refunds for orders placed without the discount code
  • FREE shipping does not apply during the sale. If your order is over $75 (in the US or Canada), you will see a flat rate shipping charge for $10. The more you order the more you will save!
  • Discounted shipping rates will be applied during the checkout to international orders
  • Discount applied to YNS in stock items only

Don't forget about the blog hop too! Just click on the photos below and leave a comment on each of the design team's blogs and you'll be in with a chance to win the $25.00 gift certificate. You have until 12 midnight on June 12th!

I'm also popping this card over to The Daily Marker's 30 Day Colouring Challenge which started on June 1st!

Happy stamping!

MFT Birthday Challenge

Morning bloggers!

My Favorite Things have a birthday challenge this month featuring cupcakes:

I've had this set, Birthday Chicks, on my MFT wishlist for quite a while now - it always seemed to be out of stock so it's taken me ages to get my inky fingers on it.

I've had a go at no line colouring with Copics. I've practised this technique so many times and find it a really difficult one to master - all my attempts have ended up in the bin so far but I'm reasonably happy with how the little chicks turned out on this one so I actually decided to use them. 5 out of 10 for technique but 9 out of 10 for perseverance!

I also used MFT's Blueprints 27 die and if you recognise the Bokeh watercolour background it's because I used the leftovers from my previous card.

I'm also popping this one over to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge where anything goes!

Happy stamping!
