Your Next Stamp Feature Day - Animal Antics!

Hello folks,

It's Feature Day over at Your Next Stamp where I'm guest designing for a couple of months. The YNS Design Team have chosen their favourite animal sets (and there's a lot of them!) to make a card:

Funny Farm Crew was one of my first YNS purchases and it's still one of my favourites. They're such a happy little bunch of farm critters, perfect for practising those colouring skills. I've used some very old patterned papers which is a great way to quickly create a sky and grass. The fence is a sparkly sticker won in a competition about 8 years ago...I knew I'd get to use it one day!

Go and check out which animal sets the DT have chosen to use in their creations, then head to YNS to see what cute creatures are in the store.

Since I've been colouring again I'm popping this one over to The Daily Marker's 30 Day Coloring Challenge too!

Thanks for popping by!

Farmyard Fun

Hello again,

The 30 Day Coloring Challenge has been inspiring me to get my Copics out again - this time for CASology where the cue word is 'farm.'

It gave me the perfect excuse to ink up one of my favourite stamp sets from Your Next Stamp - Funny Farm Crew. I framed them using their InstaLove Polaroid Die Set which I've coloured using MFT's Wood Plank backgound stamp.

Have a great week!

Hennah Blooms

Hey bloggers!

Here's a card using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches which I've combined with this month's Altenew challenge and the 30 Day Colour Challenge:

I'm also popping it into the latest Time Out challenge - they're celebrating their 3rd birthday and this week they have a theme:

Love and/or Friendship with the optional twist of 'spotlight stamping' where you add colour only to one raised area of your image

I used Altenew's Hennah Elements but the sentiment's from Waltzingmouse!

Thanks for popping by!

Blooming Sunflower

Hello,

Time for a new card and a trifector of challenges.  It's been such a wet and dreary week in Sydney so an MFT sunflower was just what I needed to brighten my day:

I'm entering this one into 3 challenges: Addicted to CAS (code word - wood), Less is More and the 30 Day Colouring Challenge. Usually I cut the sunflower out of patterned paper but this time I coloured it with Copics.  The dotted stamp is from Waltingmouse's My Kind of Guy and the sentiment is PTI. Do check out the stunning Tiger Lilies that Kathy has coloured on her blog - she makes my colouring efforts look about as good as a 5 year old's!

Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Waffling with The Card Concept

Happy weekend to you!

It's been a while since I played along at The Card Concept - they have a colourful inspiration pic for their latest challenge:

I used the inlaid die cut technique for this - I die cut a large circle from the card stock, covered it with some blooms from Waffle Flowers's 'A Bunch' Stamp Set, coloured them in with Copics and plonked the circle back into the negative die cut. I also created a black border to go around the edge..it kind of gave it a more 'finished' look.  I didn't have a Waffle Flower sentiment large enough for the circle so I white embossed a greeting from Waltzingmouse onto vellum and placed it over the top of the blooms.

Since the blooms have been coloured I'm also linking up to The Daily Marker's 30 Day Colouring Challenge

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Casology - Valentine

Happy weekend everyone!

There's Valentines galore in blogland at the moment - heaps of pink inspiration photos everywhere.  Over at Casology the cue word is actually 'Valentine' so I used the pretty, soft palette over at Colour Throwdown to put this card together:

I've had Whimsy Stamps' 'Feeling Fruity for quite a while now but the sweet little pear hasn't seen a swipe of ink. It's actually an outline stamp but I decided to colour mine with some Copics, which means I can also link up with Kath's 30 Day Colouring Challenge again.

I'm bracing myself for the eternity ring, flowers and ever so expensive chocolates which I'm quite sure will be arriving tomorrow....or maybe not!  Hope you get a little bit of romance in your day, even if it just means someone else does the washing up!

Thanks for popping over,

Papertrey Ink Celebrations - Take 2

Hello!

There's another challenge for February from PTI to celebrate their birthday and a new release - this time to create a new card featuring nine 1.5 inch squares, each altered in some way.

Since Doodlie Do was still sat on the bench top, along with the gold embossing powder, I had another play and used the gorgeous set of colours from this week's Colour Q challenge:

I do love square cards but I often struggle on where to put the sentiment so left this one without. It took forever to colour all those blooms!

Speaking of colouring, Kathy is having another 30 Day Colouring Challenge so I'm linking this one to her blog as well!

Thanks for popping over,
