Well hello bloggers!
I've been AWOL from blogland during the last couple of weeks - the mojo went walkabout (and still hasn't returned), I've pretty much had back to back visitors for the last couple of months and the kids are now on their school holidays. Seriously - can term 1 really be over? I feel like they've only just gone back to school after Christmas!
Moving on, there's a gorgeous new colour combo at Colour Q to tickle your crafty taste buds. I used the colours with this week's Cas(e) This Sketch:
Don't forget if you haven't got the exact colours, use the nearest you have in your stash - I have to say my 'peach' is looking a little more like 'rust' in the pic!
Have a fabulous Tuesday and thanks for stopping.

Stampin' Up Revival
Hello bloggers!
The Christmas holidays have begun here in Australia - the kidlets have finished school for the year and I have six weeks to spend being their personal entertainer! My littlest finished preschool today and I only just managed to hold it together - another milestone reached before he starts school next year.
Anyway, here's the card I made for this week's Dynamic Duos and Freshly Made Sketches:
Sorry, not the best photo as it's late so I may retake it in the morning. The Dynamic Duo colours fitted perfectly with some very old Stampin Up papers I have in my stash. Keeping with the SU theme I also used one of their older stamp sets (Eastern Blooms.)
Ok, that's all again folks...have a great day!

Australian Scrapbook Creations - Christmas Issue
Evening folks,
Have you checked out this months Australian Scrapbook Creations? I had the opportunity to do a couple of projects for it - an advent calendar using various stamp sets and some place names for the Christmas table. I'll upload the place names tomorrow but here's a little pic of the advent calendar:
Photography by Scrapbook Creations/Amanda Reddicliffe
I made 24 little kraft envelopes, stamped and embossed them with some flourishes and added a stamped PTI Christmas bauble. I then put a handmade Waltzingmouse stamped tag in each and typed a treat for each of the days in the lead up to Christmas. Finally I added a peg and a die cut number. Each of the tags has been strung up on a beautiful white picture frame with bakers twine but they could also be hung from the Christmas tree or even hidden around the house for the kids to find!
Hope you get the chance to take a peek! Thanks for stopping by,

Anything but CAS
Hello crafty folks,
I had every intention of playing along with Casology this week as the cue word is 'circle.' So I knew what I wanted to do ( it looks like a few others went for this as well) and thought I would use the week's colours over at Play Date Cafe:
It turned out to be anything but simple...lining up the patterned papers with the cut out circle, working out where to stamp the flourishes and sentiment, where to put the flowers....it seemed to take forever. I like how it turned out though, but it won't be entered into this weeks Casology challenge!
Have a great night and thanks for stopping,

Scrapville Sketch Challenge
Hello Scrappers!
There's still plenty of time to get your entries in for this month's sketch challenge over at Scrapville, which has been provided by Anita:
Doesn't my sister-in-law make a beautiful bride? I used some flourish stamps to stamp randomly around the layout and then sponged white and pink inks on the edges. Kind of looks like the faded edges of the photo I think.
We're bracing ourselves for 43C in Sydney this weekend. Yuck! The last time we had that heat I was 7 months pregnant so I guess it could be worse!
Have a great day and don't melt in the heatwave if you're Down Under! Thanks for stopping by,

Happy Birthday Play Date Cafe
Hello Bloggers!
I'm just finding time to fit in a post whilst making a birthday cake for my little 4 year old. What was meant to be a little morning tea in the local park, has now turned into a a much larger affair - which means I have to actually make some effort!
Play Date Cafe is celebrating its 3rd birthday which means lots of lovely prizes up for grabs and a facelift for the blog. The colours this week are:
Perhaps it's just me but I truly found this the most difficult colour challenge yet. They're certainly not colours that I would think of putting together and I had absolutely nothing resembling them amongst my patterned papers. In the end I got out my Autumn Leaves flourishes and inks and had a play. It resulted in half a sheet of heavily patterned paper so I cut some panels and came up with this:
The ribbon is blue and the button is a kind of grape colour but it doesn't show in the photo - they kind of look black don't they?
Well, back to the cake baking.....thanks for stopping by,
