Colour Q #245 - keeping it CAS

Evening folks!

Can it really be Tuesday? Again? We've got such a pretty set of colours for you this week - I can see lots of flowery creations for this one:

I gave the flowers a miss and used a sweet little Imaginisce stamp to make a first birthday card for my nephew.  The waves have been stamped using Mama Elephant's Modern Borders and I kept it CAS by embossing the same image in white on the card base.  I used this week's Retro Sketch for a bit of mojo flow:

Make sure you check out the rest of the DT's gorgeous creations again - heaps of inspiration to whet your crafty appetite!

Thanks for popping by!

100 Freshly Made Sketches!

G'day again,

I couldn't possibly miss out on taking part at Freshly Made this week - it's their 100th sketch challenge and they've gone right back to the very beginning with the very first sketch by Cindy:

It's one of those annoying cards that looks better IRL I'm afraid. Not sure why..probably my lousy camera action.  Anyway, our next door neighbour is due to pop any day now with her first bub so I'm getting prepared for his arrival early. I've used a couple of Imaginisce stamps and embossed them with red, glittery embossing powder. The paper's are some leftover bits and pieces from Authentique.

Enjoy your day and thanks for popping by!

CAS(E) this Sketch #20

Well hello again bloggers!

This week I'm trying to do some different challenges and todays effort is for the latest CAS(E) This Sketch challenge.

I'm not sure how much we're able to use 'artistic licence' with the sketch but I think all the elements are there.  Instead of a pocket I've tucked the little Imaginisce boat into the sea, which has been stamped using an MME lace stamp. The sentiment was too big to stamp at the side so I've stamped it above instead and shifted the whole image to the middle of the card.  I covered the sea and part of the boat with some Dimensional Magic and I used part of an embossing folder to make a frame around the edges. Now all I have to do is wait for one of my pregnant friends to pop!

Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping,

A Christmas Waltzingmouse

Well hello Bloggers!

I'm one step further in finishing my Christmas cards with this week's Waltzingmouse challenge:

I've used the Seasons of Love set with some MME and Imaginisce papers - so love that sentiment!

Thanks for popping by,
