Love is in the Air

Hello fellow inkers,

I've been avoiding cards with a 'love' theme like the plague in the last few weeks, simply because I have a whole heap of yet to be used Valentines cards and only one husband.  However, since that's the theme over at Paper Smooches for their latest challenge, it did give the excuse to colour the Love-struck set with matching dies:

I gave this sweet little baby angel some sparkly wings and a shiny heart on which to aim his bow. For the background I stamped Curls and Swirls but it looked a little too busy behind the stamped images so I also added a layer of white card stock to make it 'pop' a little more.

I'm also sending it over to Time Out's challenge - to create an 'affectionate' card for someone. Nothing says affection more than Valentines Day!

Happy stamping!

  1. I love this card. The design is just perfect! The swirly background looks very unexpected with the style of the cupid image and that makes this card to look totally unique! The scene you created is absolutely stunning with the clouds as well. Thank you for joining us at Time Out!

  3. This couldn't be more perfect for our challenge Claire!! Love the little cherub and your colouring is gorgeous as always. The background pattern and soft colour is so pretty and I'm in love with the white cardstock on the angle, its genius. Always fabulous to see you at TIME OUT!

  4. Your little cupid is so cute, Claire ... especially with those shimmery wings ... and what a great scene you created for him with those fluffy clouds and the shiny heart! Saint Valentine's here is only for lovers too (ie husbands and wives, boyfriends and girlfriends) ... so I can relate to your card dilemma! Hugs, Anita :)
