Fusion Card Challenge - Daisies

Hi folks!

It doesn't seem two minutes since I posted the last Fusion challenge - where did the time go?
This week's challenge has a pretty inspiration pic featuring daisies and a sketch featuring lots of circles:

As you can see,  I used both the sketch and the pic - the blue strip has been stamped with Versamark, using MFT's Wood Plank background stamp and the rest of the card has been embossed in their Bundles of Blossoms.  The die cut ring is a Porthole die from Your Next Stamp and the daisies are MFT Dynamics.  I finished off with a vellum flourish from Fancy That.

Make sure you go and check out what the very talented DT have come up with won't you?

Thanks for stopping!

Your Next Stamp - Reinbeer

Hi folks,

Just a quickie for Your Next Stamp's Sketch and Colour Challenge:

Isn't this 'reinbeer' cute?  I'm sure my husband will love this since he fancies himself as a professional beer brewer.  I used the sketch but the colours are pretty close to the colour swatch too - although I have to admit that was completely unintentional.  His nose has a good slathering of Glossy Accents so its nice and shiny. The patterned paper is Winter Plaid and the die cuts are the Instalove Polaroid Die Set.

Happy stamping!

MFT Sketch Challenge

Morning all!

Another day, another card... another MFT card for their sketch challenge using the Marble Background Stamp and Happy Hippos:

It's another bright one so it's going over to Time Out. Again!

Happy stamping!

Just Playing with Ink

Hello fellow inkers!

I've had lots of guest designing stints this year which has been lovely, but it's also meant that I've had new stuff sitting in my stash that hasn't yet seen any ink. So last night was just spent playing around with a few new bits and pieces.

First up is this very simple card, created for AAA Cards where the challenge is to use a stencil. I'm forever lamenting about my lack of stencil skills but I do love using them - the circle stencil was a new purchase from MFT, which means I can now chuck away all those bits of die cut acetate I'd been using previously! The stamp is Dandelion Wishes from Happy Little Stampers:

Yet again I'm popping it over to Time Out where the challenge is to use bright colours. Since it's the third card I've posted to that challenge, the DT may be forgiven for getting a bit bored with me....

The next card is for MFT's clean and simple birthday project challenge using Bubble Over with Joy and their Marble Background Stamp - another one that's been on my never-ending MFT wishlist for some time.  Can you tell there was a 40% off sale a couple of weeks ago?!

Thanks for popping by today!

Simple Dragonfly

Hello and happy weekend!

I couldn't resist treating myself to one of MFT's new stamp sets recently - Fluttering Friends:

Their current birthday challenge has a clean and simple theme which fits in perfectly with the latest sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. I kept it really simple, colouring the pretty dragonfly with Copics and adding a cluster of flowers from the same set, leaving them uncoloured.  I've given them a good smothering of Wink of Stella though, so they actually look very sparkly in real life.

Since this little dragonfly is a burst of bright colour with the black and white blooms, I'm also popping the card over to Time Out where the theme is 'bright.'

Happy stamping!

Simply Celebrate

Hello again,

I've been playing around with the sketch from Less is More - looks nice and simple doesn't it but it was hard finding a sentiment that fit with the squares:

I used Whimsy Stamps Happy Everything to create the pattern and the sentiment is from WMS. I made sure I used some bright hues so I could also play along at Time Out where the theme is 'bright.'

Have a fabulous day!

Freshly Made Soup!

Hello, hope you are having a great weekend!

Just a quick post for a card I made combining the colours from MFT and the sketch from Freshly Made sketches:

I used Recipe for Happiness from MFT but had to cut the sentiment down to 'you're souper' instead of 'you're souper cool' in order to fit the sketch!  I also used Wood Plank Background for the grey and kraft strips - it looked a bit plain with the white panel so I embossed it with a striped embossing folder and added a scattering of clear drops from PPP.

Hope you get time to get inky this weekend!
