CAS-ual Fridays - Sketch Challenge

Hello folks,

Not much inkiness going on in this household at the moment but I did have time to whip this little card up before the latest CAS-ual Fridays challenge which closes in a few hours:

I used the smallest bloom from Pretty Posies stamps and dies and coloured them in with Copics.  Some of the flowers have been popped up with dimensional tape but you can't really tell in the photo.

I'm also entering it into Time Out's challenge - they have an 'inspired by words' challenge:
'Flowers and Friends make life a garden'.

Thanks for popping by,

My Favorite Things - Colour Challenge

Morning folks!

Just playing along with MFT's colour challenge using Warmest Wishes:

There's a sweet little snowflake stamp in this set but I opted to use a snowfall stencil instead as so I could add some sparkle with glitter. I also used Bundles of Blossoms on the base layer to add some texture and some more glitter on the snowdrifts.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge  is all about adding a bit of sparkle so I'm playing along there too!

Thanks for stopping,

Seeing Spots

Hello,

How's your week going? I've gone all spotty playing along with Less is More's one layer challenge to use spots and stripes. The spots and sentiment are from Whimsy Stamp's Happy Hello and the stripes are from PTI's Grunge Me:

I didn't have much of a plan when I did this card - can you tell? In fact, I think the spots perhaps reflect the number of glasses of wine consumed whilst making it.

Addicted to CAS has the code word 'pink' this week so I'm also popping my card in their challenge too!

Thanks for calling by,

Claire x

MFT Sketch Challenge

Hello bloggers,

For those of you celebrating it, I hope you've had a wonderful Mothers Day.  Ive been treated to a lie-in, Eggs Benedict and lots of cuddles - what more can a Mum ask for?

I've inked up one of my new MFT sets for their latest challenge - Polynesian Paradise:

I've used distress inks to sponge a seascape background and Copics to colour.  I have very few stamp sets suitable for girls so this one will no doubt get a lot of use. The background has been stamped and embossed in white using Bundles of Blossoms.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Flowing Flourishes

G'day folks,

Hope your Monday's going well. I'm sneaking an ultra quick one layer card into Casology before the challenge closes. The cue word this week is 'flow:'

I've always loved the way these Paper Smooches Curls and Swirls kind of flow into each other when stamped together. They're perfect for a quick card. I've used the colours from Less is More which are yellow and grey and the sentiment is by PTI.

Hope you have a great week! Thanks for stopping,

MFT Sketch Challenge #330

Hello, hello,

Long time no blog! Here's a card I made for this week's My Favorite Things sketch challenge:

I'm still playing around with Ken Olivers' Color Bursts and made a big sheet of bright colours, then cut a strip for the sky.  I reckon this little fella from Space Explorer has got stuck in some kind of space vortex don't you? He's looking a little worried! I sprayed the background with some stars using a tooth brush and paint, then embossed the sentiment on to the background.

Hope you get time to get inky this week,

Claire x
