Celebrate the Season

Hello fellow inkers,

There's lots of Autumn themed challenges happening in blog land at the moment.  so I've made a fall inspired card using the gorgeous pic at The Card Concept as inspiration:

For my clean and graphic card I was inspired by the pink, green and yellow/gold as well as the leaves. I used a leaf stencil from Funky Fossil, then added a gold embossed  CAS-ual Fridays Shenanigans sentiment on vellum.  I've also used Jacquie's simple sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.

Thanks for stopping by!

MFT Design Superstar 2020 - Take 2!

 Hello again folks,

Here's another card for MFT's Design Superstar competition - this time for the Colouring Virtuoso:

Those little Gnomies have come out again - I do have a slight obsession with them. I got a little carried away with my colouring so I created a 3.5inch x 8.5 inch card just so I could fit everything on.  I used Hanging with my Gnomies and matching dies and the background scene was created using the Cloud Stencil and Grass Stencil.

Happy stamping!

My Favourite Things - 2020 Card Design Superstar

Hello fellow inkers,

It's that time of year again, when MFT search for their Card Design Superstars! I love this competition - the standard is always amazing and, whilst I'd never expect to be a superstar, I love to join in each time:

This one's for the Clean and Simple Genius category - and I use the term 'genius' very loosely! Half my struggle is choosing which products to use - it's so tempting to use lots of different products but 'less is more' when it comes to clean and simple,  so I stuck to just the three. I've used this little fella again from Hanging With My Gnomies. In the background I've sponged the Radiating Rays Stencil and a strip of rainbow which I made using Copics. The stitched window is the Selfie Square Die-namics.

Shame we only get to enter one card in each category - I'd have loved to have entered more. Hope you get the time to join in!

Thanks for popping by,

Claire

Keeping it CAS at Your Next Stamp

 Hello folks,

Your Next Stamp's latest challenge is to keep it clean and simple so I pulled out one of my favourite YNS sats and inked up the cow from Funny Farm Crew:

The white embossed strips at the side have been stamped with the Thick Stripe-Tastic Diagonal Edge.

I think he may be doing the walk of shame after a late night out partying, don't you? Since I'm going with a party theme I'm popping it over to CAS on Friday and I'm also joining in with Fusion, using both the sketch amd the colours for inspiration.

Happy stamping!

MFT Colour Challenge #148

Hello, hello,

Time for another CAS card, this time for AAA Cards sketch challenge using MFT's colours:

I've used one of the sweet little gnomes from 'Hanging with my Gnomies.' I love this set but I just need to find some time to do a whole lot of colouring with it. The Grout Gray panel has been stamped in Grout Gray ink using Wood Plank.  There's the option of giving it a movie theme at AAA so let's go with Sherlock Gnomes!

I'm also popping this over to The Paper Players who have a theme challenge this week - to make a masculine card.

Happy stamping!

Back to CAS

Hi bloggers,

I'm back to my CAS self with this little card for CASology and Less is More:

Despite living in Australia where the new school year starts in January, September always makes me think of the new school year in the UK as that's where I was brought up.

I did the chalkboard technique for Less is More's latest challenge,  using the letter board stamp from Mama Elephant's Nursery Deco, then added an apple from Whimsy Stamps. The background splatters are PTI's Grunge Me and the sentiment's from Waltzingmouse.  I do like combining stamp sets, especially when they're older ones that haven't seen ink in a long time!

Hope you get the chance to play along!

MFT Sketch #504

Hello again,

Another quick post, this time for MFT's sketch which I thought ended tomorrow but actually ends in 3 hours, hence the really bad photo!

I used masking fluid to create the snowy sky backdrop for my Sweet Holiday Penguins. The white embossed, Wood Plank strips were left over from my previous card.

It's also heading over to Time Out where the theme challenge is 'season' with the optional twist of colouring. I chose to make a card celebrating the holiday season and did the optional twist with Copic colouring.

Happy stamping!
