Freshly Made Sketches #347

Hello,

Very quick post for Freshly Made Sketch #347:

These sweet little bees are from Your Next Stamp's latest release. I could sit and colour them all day! The white embossed background by MFT.

Simon Days Stamp's Wednesday Challenge is 'anything goes' so this one's heading over there too!

Happy stamping!

Rainbow Hello

Hello!

Can't resist a rainbow challenge which is this week's theme over at AAA Cards:

I used Color Bursts to create a rainbow coloured 'hello' from MFT. I inlaid the die cut and covered it liberally with Glossy Accents, then added some Mama Elephant white embossed stripes. Too easy!

Happy stamping!

MFT Colour Challenge

Hi folks,

Here's a quickie I made for MFT's Colour Challenge:

The snow flakes have been done using a snowy background stencil and gesso - whilst the gesso was wet I sprinkled it with white glitter. It looks very sparkly IRL!

I'm also popping it over to AAA Cards for their Christmas in July challenge - it's not a traditional Christmas card but I do use this set for my Christmas cards so thought I could get away with it!

Enjoy your day!

Less is More: Olive and Tangerine

Hello, hello,

I've had a few guest designer stints in the last few months so haven't had the chance to play around with some new stuff sitting in my stash. Sarah from Funky Fossil very kindly sent me a couple of her stencils recently so I've been having a play with Forest Foliage for the latest Less is More challenge - to use olive and tangerine:

I stencilled a large panel using some distress inks, then cut it down using some of MFT's Mod Rectangles. I matted part of the panels with black card stock to make them pop against the white, then added a leaf sprig and sentiment from Altenew. Not sure about this one - I've never been a big fan of olive but I guess the bright mandarin cheers it up a bit!

Enjoy your week!

Your next Stamp - July DT Dare!

Hello bloggers!

I've got another card to show you for Your Next Stamp - this is my final card as guest designer (cue much sobbing) and it's for their Design Team Dare challenge using their brand new release products. This month's dare is to create a project with dimension:

I love using dimensional tape - it seems to find a way on to almost all my cards as it's such a simple way to add some interest.  I used Honey Bee for my card with the large Instalove Polaroid Die. I also used the matching Honey Bee dies and popped up some of the honeycomb using the tape.

Want to win a YNS stamp set of your choice? Head on over to the YNS blog and check out all the other projects from the DT, then leave a comment on the blog to be in with a chance of winning!

Happy stamping!

Your next Stamp - New release Blog Hop!

Hello again,

It's Blog Hop time over at Your Next Stamp! They have a brand new release for July and are celebrating by offering you 20% off your entire purchase as well as the chance to win a $25.00 gift certificate by leaving a comment on any of the blogs participating in the hop:

So my card features Coffee Cart. This is another great set if you enjoy colouring - there are so many images which can be put together in lots of different ways to create a whole heap of coffee inspired scenes.  I love that there are so many small stamps that can be used to decorate the cart, particularly as I'm a huge coffee addict (and self-confessed coffee snob!) I couldn't have the cart floating in mid air so I added a road using the Thick Stripe-Tastic Diagonal Edge and a Stitched Line for a bit of definition.

Ready to win a stamp set? Make a comment below and then head to the YNS blog to see who else is participating in the hop. The more comments you make, the more chances you'll be randomly picked to win that gift certificate!

Thanks for popping by,

Your Next Stamp - New Release Preview

Hello folks!

I'm so thrilled to be guest designing again for Your Next Stamp this month, showcasing their brand new product release! YNS have a preview of what's on offer before the launch and blog hop get underway at 10.00pm EST. As always the design team have got lots of inspiration using the new stamps and dies:

For my preview card I've used this sweet new set called Hedgehugs, together with the matching wreath die. I kept it very simple as,  the wreath stamp is so pretty, I found I didn't want to add much to the card. To add some texture to the background I used parts of the new Honeycomb Die and then added a sprinkle of teeny, tiny butterflies for embellishment.

Pop by later for the blog hop and leave a comment and you could be in the running to win a $25.00 gift certificate from Your Next Stamp. Don't forget, the more blogs you visit, the more inspiration you'll find and the more comments you make, the better your chances to win!

Thanks for popping by,

Bits and Bobs

Hello, how's your week going?

Time for a three-fer with this little card:

I could have made lots of cards this week with Less is More's challenge to make a card using an item from my 'bits' box. I actually cleared out my bits box a couple of months ago and lo and behold it's full again. I'm especially good at keeping small bits of inked card which I've used here - it was blended using distress inks and embossed over the top in gold with an MFT background stamp. I die cut a stitched frame, added the butterfly and a simple,  stencilled background using white primer.

Since the colours are similar to those used in The Card Concept's latest challenge I'm going to pop it over there in the clean and simple category. And the stitched frame makes it a three-fer with AAA's challenge to use a frame.

Thanks for calling by,

Claire x
