Pink and Gold Fusion

Hello inkers!

Quick card, quicker post. Here's a very CAS one for Less is More's pink and gold challenge, AAA's anything goes' CAS challenge (without the animal option!)  and the sketch from Fusion:

I gold embossed WMS' pretty Folk Art Medallion, adding in some pink blooms and a sentiment from Poppy Stamps. I think it would make a lovely wedding invite if I changed the sentiment - anyone getting married?

Happy stamping!

Altenew March 2022 Inspiration Challenge

Happy weekend to you!

I like the simplicity of the layout on my previous card so thought I'd do a similar one for this month's Altenew challenge. I didn't think I had any colour in my stash like the pale lilac/grey in the pic but then found the perfect Copic (B60 - Pale Blue Gray) which I used to add some shading to the Lotus blooms:

I again did some partial stencilling with Altenew's Embossing Paste and Grid Stencil, added a sentiment from Tiny Sentiments: Hello stamp set and framed it with the Fine Frames Cover Die

This one's also going over to CAS on Friday again for their CAS 'flowers' challenge.

Happy stamping!

CAS Bloom

Hello folks,

Not many creative juices flowing in my place at the moment - I've had a couple of very special weeks celebrating a big birthday, shortly followed by Covid hitting my eldest son.  I knew it would come our way eventually but at least it had the decency to wait until I'd finished the celebrations! We're all in isolation whilst he recovers and hoping the rest of us test negative at the weekend.

So just a very CAS card from me for CAS on Friday's and The Paper Players' clean and simple 'flowers' challenges:

I've used one of my favourite blooms - CAS-ual Fridays Mon Ami, coloured with Copics and set on a simple die cut tag. I partially stencilled the tag using embossing paste and added a sentiment from the same set. Too easy!

Fingers crossed Covid ups and leaves next week so we can get on with life!

Happy stamping!

MFT Colour Challenge - Take Two!

Hello bloggers,

Here's another take on the colours over at My Favourite Things using the latest sketch from Freshly Made Sketches:

I've used SY Selfies with Santa,  framed with a very old polaroid die cut from MFT Die-namics and set against Christmas Background stamped in Cement Gray - a couple of strips from the Very Merry Paper Pad finished it off.

At the risk of sounding like scrooge I'm vastly reducing the number of Christmas cards I'm making this year - last year's post was so bad, most people seemed to get them in January which was so annoying considering I sent them in November! So, this year I'm aiming at making one a month for family only and that will be it - 2 down, 10 to go!

Happy stamping!

Poppy Stamps Challenge #90

Hello folks,

My oldest son turns sweet 16 next week, the same day I celebrate my own milestone birthday (I've told him for once in my life the attention is going to be on me!) I use the term 'sweet' very loosely - not really one I'd use for a 16 year old boy!

The card I've made for him features two of his favourite things - food and puns. He is an absolute master at making up puns so hopefully he'll appreciate the one provided by Poppy Stamps featuring donuts:

The theme for this months PS challenge is to use pretty patterned papers - again, not sure it's pretty as I used some very old dp which has a real masculine feel to it. The set is Poppy Stamp's Donut What I'd Do with matching die.

This one's also going over to Sunday Stamps for their colour challenge and to The Paper Players for their sketch challenge.

Happy stamping!
