Pink Ombre

Hello folks!

Another CAS card, this time for Casology where the cue word is 'ombre:'

I blended a few distress inks and cut out a stitched panel - it was all looking a little too pink so I die cut a window and backed it with a piece of vellum to soften it. I then added an MFT daisy and a sentiment from WMS and matted it all on black.

We're bracing ourselves for more storms in NSW later in the week. Since my work commute involves
driving a boat along a river, it does make getting to work a little more interesting to say the least.  Last week the journey was spent trying to avoid all the debris floating in the river, as well as a number of boats that had sunk.  I arrived at work absolutely soaking wet (despite full waterproofs) only to find that the power was out so I wasn't even able to dry my clothes! Fingers crossed it won't be the same this week!

Happy stamping!

  1. This is so gorgeous and so crisp, Claire! I just love those vibrant shades of pink surrounding that pop of yellow in the daisy! I'm crossing my ginfers with you that you stay safe and dry during your watery commute!! Enjoy your day! Hugs, Darnell

  2. Such a beautiful pink ombre. Great idea on how to soften it a bit. Your flower is lovely. Thanks so much for playing along at CASology this week.

  3. Your ombre background is amazing. I love it with the little daisy. I had a bit of a cringe when I read about your commute. That's a lot to have to deal with. I hope you make it in all right this week!

  4. Beautiful! Love the ombre background!

  5. Gorgeous ombré, Claire ... the dimensional daisy is fabulous set into it! Your commute to work sounds a daily adventure ... stay safe in all that bad weather! Anita :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment - they really make my day!
