Hello!
I've just managed to get a quick card into the Casology challenge where the cue word is 'distress.'
I'm not a big fan of deliberately tearing or distressing paper - it goes against my clean and simple instincts - so I had a play with my Distress Inks for this one. I smooshed a background on some watercolour paper, then used a Winnie and Walter snow scene stencil to add a touch of gold embossing powder. A little die cut dragonfly in black and gold and a gold embossed WMS sentiment and it was all done!
Hope you find the time to get distressed for the challenge - in a crafty kind of way of course!
Thanks for stopping,
Claire
Love the colour mix here Claire, the gold touch looks amazing x
ReplyDeleteThat's such a gorgeous smooshed background, Claire ... the colours are perfect with the shimmery gold ... love the drama of the delicate dragonfly with it! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeletePerfection. Glancing at photos of cards does not do any good because we can't see the card. So glad I came in for a closer look because this card is gorgeous. Winner!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Claire. Love that background and the gold accents. That Asian Gardens sentiment goes so well with the dragonfly too.
ReplyDeleteLovely card Claire, your background looks great!
ReplyDeleteClaire, I love that distress ink smoothed background, perfectly paired with those lovely gold accents! So glad you got DISTRESSED with us this week at CASology, in a crafty way, of course! ;)
