Birthdays Galore

Hello folks!,

It's late, I'm tired and there's a burger waiting with my name on it so here's a quick card based on the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches:







I started by creating a bokeh background on watercolour paper but it was a bit much for a clean and simple card so I used an MFT die to cut some strips and added a couple of Stampin' Up blooms, white embossed on vellum. The sentiment's PTI and the leaves were die cut using a die from my local craft shop - Papertisserie.

Two of my other favourite challenges - AAA Cards and CAS-ual Fridays - are both celebrating birthdays this week so I'm playing along over there too!

    Oh, wow, Claire! This is absolutely stunning - your soft bokeh background and gorgeous embossed flowers are so very pretty and the black sentiment add the pop of drama. Love this!

    What an inspired idea to use your bokeh background for those softly coloured strips, Claire ... the delicate sprigs are so gorgeous with them! Might there be a mirror image card with the rest of the bokeh?? Bon appetit! Hugs, Anita :)

    Very pretty card! I am 14 and there is a lot that I cannot do right now but I want to. It is my parent’s anniversary next week and I took help of my uncle for booking an event space San Francisco for the party but I want to do rest of the things myself, like the decoration and making invitation cards. Thanks for sharing this idea.
