I have to admit this should be cleaner and simpler than it actually is but I managed to smear green ink all over my nice clean card - I seem to really struggle to keep my cards clean! I saved it by adding a white panel and gave it some dimension using dimensional tape. For the vertical stripes I used embossing paste with Altenew's Beach Towel Stripes Stencil. The Just Add Ink blooms have been stamped with pigment ink and embossed using holographic glitter EB.
I was inspired by the colours over at The Card Concept and the middle left pic in the JUG's mood board. When I saw the clean, horizontal strips of the wood panels I immediately thought of the Altenew stencil.
Thanks for popping by!

This is just delightful! It's like sunshine on a card! Love those big yellow florals...and the happy sentiment too! Thanks for sharing this with us at the Players this week!
ReplyDeleteClaire... love your sweet blooms! Thanks so much for joining and sharing at Just Us Girls this week.
ReplyDeleteSo bright and cheery, Clair! The bold flowers look amazing against the stripes. I am so sorry you smeared ink on your card, but I have to say that I LOVE the white panel. As the late Bob Ross would have said, "It's a happy accident"! It's a stunning card, and I am so happy you shared it in my challenge at The Paper Players this week!
ReplyDeleteClaire, this is a beautiful card. I know exactly what you mean about making card alterations to cover smears and fingerprints. I've had many cards with un-planned gems and embellishments to cover up my messes! You recovered nicely and the additional panel just adds dimension to your card. Thank you for playing along with us at The Paper Players.
