Hello again!
Are you ready for another colour fix? It's Tuesday, so it's time to unveil the new Colour Q palette:
Look at that dress - looks like it's in full bloom doesn't it? So I took my cue from the colours and the pic and created a flowery concoction using the current Unscripted Sketch. I'm slowly getting into the whole washi thing...if a little sparingly. And late. The trend will no doubt be over by the time I embrace it fully!
Go and take a peek at the rest of the DT's gorgeous creations - a flower enthusiast's delight this week!
Thanks for popping by!

A Dynamic Farewell
Good evening bloggers!
Well one of my favourite challenges has come to an end so I just had to have a play for the last time over at Dynamic Duos whilst sobbing into my stash. It's a triple threat week this week - three colours instead of the usual two. I've had a play with the latest Freshly Made Sketch too:
Since it's almost midnight it's not the best photo...lots of shadows but you get the gist. The stamp is Waltzingmouse's Folk Art Medallion which was the perfect size for the challenge. I embossed the flower and flourish by using a mixture of white and pewter embossing powders - SU's pewter emboss powder looks grey in the pot but comes out a beautiful silver when heated. The white has kind of toned it down and given it more of a greyish tinge. I really love this colour combo...such a shame it's the last challenge!
Off to bed now...the kids are back at school tomorrow so no excuse to lie in!
Cheers,
Claire x

How Does Your Garden Grow?
Good morning!
Hope you're having a lovely weekend. I've been playing around with the cue word over at Casology:
Having lived in several flats over my time I can now appreciate having my own garden (and how much maintenance it requires.) When I didn't have my own patch of green I always wanted a window box - I think they look so pretty and I guess they are the 'garden' equivalent for those who haven't got a garden of their own. So I cut a window with my Cameo, stamped it with a WMS Woodgrain stamp and added a few W Plus 9 blooms.
Still limited internet I'm afraid so no chance to pay back any visits. If you have popped over thanks for doing so and I'll be visiting when I'm back online!

Retro Umbrella
Morning folks!
Just a quick one as I'm internet challenged this week which is a polite way of saying my internet is completely stuffed. Not much blogging for me then.
The theme at The Card Concept is to use an umbrella so I've used PTI's Scattered Showers together with the latest Retro Sketch:
Another clean and layered one for me...I really must try another one of those styles mustn't I?
Thanks for stopping,

Spring is in the Air - Colour Q #238
Hello fellow bloggers!
Hope you have recovered from the annual choc fest. Much of our Easter Sunday was spent telling the kids not to overdo it on the sweet stuff - we hit the beach in the afternoon and it was great to see them burn off all that sugar!
Since it's Tuesday it's time to check out the latest colours over at Colour Q where we've got a pretty Spring-like palette to inspire you:
I used a whole heap of Waltzingmouse for this one - Funky Flowers, Folk Art Medallion and a gorgeous flourished sentiment from Big Day Today. I also used the sketch over at Waltzingmouse Fanatics. Make sure you check out their challenge...there's even a prize up for grabs!
Hope you get the chance to play this week - thanks for stopping by,

Take Note
Hello bloggers!
I'm still in a distinctly 'uncrafty' mode at the moment but I did manage to get a bit of inspiration from the cue word over at Casology:
I used a combination of pewter and white emboss powders against the black and added a few pops of colour with the enamel dots.
Hope the Easter Bunny is good to you tomorrow - we're off to the beach to catch a few rays of sunshine before it gets too nippy!
Happy Easter!

Purple Pain
Hello folks!
I've been trying to kick start my mojo after my little break so turned to Dynamic Duos for some colour inspiration. Not sure why really - purple is my absolute least favourite colour but I loved the design teams' yellow and purple creations:
Actually, it looks more like violet than purple doesn't it? I can never really tell the difference. The arched window frame is from Scrapmatts - I inked it and cut an arched card using my Cameo. I thought it would make things easier using such a pretty frame but it was actually quite difficult to find some flowers that didn't overpower it. In the end I went for the little, dainty flower in Stampin' Up's Reason to Smile.
Well, that's enough waffling from me....happy stamping!

Colour Q #237
Well hello bloggers!
I've been AWOL from blogland during the last couple of weeks - the mojo went walkabout (and still hasn't returned), I've pretty much had back to back visitors for the last couple of months and the kids are now on their school holidays. Seriously - can term 1 really be over? I feel like they've only just gone back to school after Christmas!
Moving on, there's a gorgeous new colour combo at Colour Q to tickle your crafty taste buds. I used the colours with this week's Cas(e) This Sketch:
Don't forget if you haven't got the exact colours, use the nearest you have in your stash - I have to say my 'peach' is looking a little more like 'rust' in the pic!
Have a fabulous Tuesday and thanks for stopping.

A Fusion of Colour
Evening folks!
Hope your week has started well! We've been deluged in NSW with a heap of rain, much to my Mum's dismay. I've had to remind her that we do actually get rain in Australia - unfortunately it does seem to coincide with family visiting from the UK every single time.
Not to worry though - this weeks colours for the latest Colour Q challenge will warm you up if it's cool in your part of the world....that flowery quilt absolutely screams Summer to me:
I have to admit, I found this one a little tricky. I had nothing that even vaguely resembled River Rock in my stash, until I unearthed a teeny, tiny scrap of old MME paper which I thought I could get away with. I used the sketch over at Fusion for this one but I do feel as though something is missing - it just looks a little bare to me. Let me know if you can tell me what it is!
Check out the rest of the DT's beautiful stuff for some more inspiration - hope you find the time to join in this week.
