MFT Colour and Sketch Challenge

Morning bloggers!

I've been playing with the colours from MFT's colour challenge and used the current sketch for some inspiration:

Lots of MFT goodies on this one - Circles Stencil for the Bokkeh strip, Happy Hippos,  Wood Plank Background white embossed on to the grout grey cardstock and the sentiment's from Fluttering Friends.

Happy stamping!

Frankly my Dear...This Calls for a Rainbow...

Hello again,

Third card of the week - can you tell I'm kid-free at the moment?

I'm always a sucker for a rainbow so how could I resist this week's Card Concept pic which features a a whole heap of rainbow coloured cupcakes? I've used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches:

I blended a rainbow background using distress inks for this clean and layered card and added a bold sentiment from CAS-ual Friday's 'Frankly.' The houndstooth background is from WMS.  I'd say it's pretty obvious how I've been inspired but in case you're wondering, it's the black and white background and the burst of rainbow colour!

Happy stamping fellow inkers!

Up to One Third - AAA

G'day folks!

I'm still in a CAS kind of mood so joined in with AAA's latest challenge to create a card using a third of space and with an optional twist of masking:

I have to admit, I didn't find this an easy challenge - I always find masking a bit tricky and often end up with smudges of ink somewhere on my lovely clean space. This time though,  I managed to keep it to the correct part of the card and masked off a little scene as the backdrop to one of MFT's sweet little pigs from Hog Heaven.

This is the second valentines card in a couple of weeks - now I just have to find another husband to give it to!

Thanks for popping by,

A CAS Card for a Friend

Hello again,

Back with another CAS card, playing with the colours from The Colour Throwdown, the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch and the code word from Addicted to CAS which is 'friends:'

The colours are a little darker than those in The Colour Throwdown - I've actually used navy embossing powder which looks black in the photo but I was certainly inspired by the CTS colours! The stamps are all Waltzingmouse - which I still miss desperately!

Enjoy your night!

Clean and Simple MFT

Hello and happy weekend!

Here's a very CAS card for the latest MFT colour challenge and CASology's new cue card which is 'cloudy:'

I used Fluttering Friends, Stitched Mod Rectangle Dienamics  and Cloud Stencil which I love - it's so much easier inking up clouds with this stencil, rather than making my own out of card stock.

I'm also linking up with Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge where the theme is clean and simple.

Thanks for popping by!

Time Out for Fusion and The Card Concept

Hello and happy weekend!

More new stuff to play with - this time Clearly Besotted's Beautiful Friend with matching die:

I took inspiration from The Card Concept's pretty colour palette and used the clean and layered sketch from Fusion where they're celebrating a whopping 5 years of playing with ink!  I've also stuck with the 'loving' theme over at Time Out.

The background has been white embossed using W Plus 9's Defining Words and I stamped and embossed Mama Elephant's Basic Borders in gold and black for the left hand panel.

Hope you get time to get inky this weekend!

Clean and Simple Valentine's

G'day folks!

Super simple Valentines card using AAA's sketch and Time Out's word inspiration 'loving:'

I'm also throwing this into Simon Says Stamp's Monday challenge where the challenge is to use something new. That's not difficult as I did have a mini spending spree in their pre-Christmas sale! The SSS stamp set 'You Matter' has been on my wishlist for ages, as has the matching die.  It's a really good sentiment set - and I particularly like that one of the phrase is 'I think.' If the big bloke doesn't behave before February 14th, I'll maybe stamp that inside the card!

Habe a fabulous weekend!

Have a Super Day!

Hello, hello,

Another day, another chance to play with ink - this time for MFT's Sketch Challenge:

As you can see I flipped the sketch and kept it very simple. I used You're Super with a die from Dienamics Blueprints 24.

Short but sweet!

Hope you too have a super day!

PTI - Make It Monday

Hello and happy 2019!

First card of the year and it's a very simple one for Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday challenge. It's ages since I played along but when I saw Stephanie Gold's pretty card using outline stamps I thought I'd have a go:

I used Butterfly Kisses, one of the first stamp sets I ever bought. I've had it for years and I don't think the solid butterfly ink has ever seen ink.  The sentiment is from Stylish Sentiments.

I'd love to have put some black ink splatters on like Stephanie did on hers - I watched with inky envy how she perfectly placed those splatters using her fingers. Alas,  I just knew if I'd have attempted it, the whole card would have been ruined!

Have a fabulous Sunday!
