AAA Corner Challenge

G'day fellow inkers, happy weekend to you!

Here's a CAS card for AAA Cards for their latest challenge using one corner of the card with the optional twist of using flowers:

I always find it quite difficult to use just one corner - the symmetry never seems to work and the design either seems to look too top heavy or the rest of the card looks too bare.  I used Waltzingmouse's Simple Sprig and balanced it out by adding the sentiment to the opposite corner. I also added one of MFT's stitched frames which I can't get enough of at the moment - I strongly recommend them if you haven't got them already.

I'm also popping this one over to Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge which has an Anything Goes theme happening this week.

I wouldn't have thought of using the colours together at Less is More but when I saw the beautiful cards by the DT I realised what a pretty combo they are:

I have to admit it was made in record time as it's almost the end of the challenge!

CAS Christmas

Hello fellow inkers!

As someone who loves both heat and dry embossing, Less is More's latest challenge was right up my card making alley:

I love Christmas cards that aren't traditional Christmas colours so took my inspiration from the colours in Time Out's Home Sweet Home challenge.  I've heat embossed some snow on to the roofs of this sweet Lawn Fawn scene and added some dry embossed snowflakes just for good measure.

I'm also popping it over to CASology where the cue card is 'calm.' Who doesn't feel calm when they watch snow fall gently to the ground?
