FMS - Winter Wishes

The sweet little penguin is from Penguin's Winter Adventure by Whimsy Stamps.  I've created the snowy background using CAS-ual Friday's Snowy Sayings so I'm also popping it over to Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday challenge to create your own patterned paper.

Ombre...or Maybe Not

Hello, hope you're having a good week!

Addicted to CAS has another code word to inspire which is 'ombre.' I used 3 similar shades of distress inks but two of them look almost identical so I'm afraid it's not very ombre-ish!

I also used the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch - I found the sentiment placement quite difficult so ended up stamping on the diagonal with an Altenew sentiment.

Morning bloggers!

I coloured a second one of these sweet, Pure Innocence girls from MFT for this week's Freshly Made Sketch:

She was originally wearing a yellow dress but when I went to put the dots on,  the ink from the Copic marker splodged all over it, so I had to blend it in as best I could and turn it orange. You can see where I haven't blended properly as there was just too much ink - looks as though she's spilt something, messy girl!

The blue background was done using Colorburst and MFT's Bundles of Blossoms. I didn't put the sentiment on the flag as it was way too long!

I used Pure Innocence Butterfly Kisses - the background is Happy Birthday Background white embossed over yellow Colorburst.

Fusion - Take 2

Hello fellow inkers!

I enjoyed the Fusion challenge so much that I thought I'd have a second go at it. This time I looked at the picture with my glasses on - and realised that there isn't actually any orange on it.  You can see my previous, incorrect take on it if you look at the previous post!  Note to self: keep my specs on when crafting! I used the latest sketch from Freshly Made Sketches for the layout:

The second card is for Time Out - I thought there was so much to draw from - the striped cushion, the butterfly and the way the wall has the subtle detail which almost looks like it's embossed:
