Lawn Fawn Challenge: Fun With Food

Hello folks,

Lawn Fawn have a food themed challenge happening this month so I pulled out their Sweet Smiles set to create this card:

We've had another extension to our current lockdown in Sydney- in fact I'm beginning to feel like one of these little gumballs cooped up inside my house for weeks on end.

This one's also going over to The Paper Players for Ann's sketch challenge.

Happy stamping!

Clean and Simple Geometrics

Hello again,

Here's a very CAS card for The Paper Players' Clean and Simple challenge featuring bees. Any excuse to ink up Your Next Stamp's Honey Bee:

With its geometric honeycomb in the background I'm popping it over to Addicted to CAS too!

Happy stamping!

MFT Colour Challenge #169

Hello inkers,

I can't let the week go by without joining in with MFT's colour challenge:

I just can't get enough of these old folks - maybe it's my age! This fella's from Festive Old Friends set against a background of MFT patterned papers, polaroid shaker frame, die-namics flag dies and a Wood Plank stamped panel.

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas in July

 Hello bloggers,

I've never made a 'twinchie' card before so I've had a bash at AAA Cards' latest challenge to create a card where everything has to be contained in a 2 inch area:

I chose to do the optional twist of Christmas in July. The problem wasn't the image but the sentiment and finding one small enough to fit!

This one's also going over to Less is More's Christmas in July challenge.

Happy stamping!

Time Out Challenge #192 - Guest Designer

Hello again,

I'm thrilled to be Guest Designer over at Time Out this week - they have a great new challenge for you with the inspiration word 'hungry:'

Time to ink up those food inspired stamps of yours and create a card good enough to eat. I used Poppy Stamps' Donut What I'd Do with a simple stencilled background to add some texture.

This week's challenge is sponsored by Lawn Fawn so with the chance of winning some LF goodies, there's no excuse for not joining in!

Happy stamping!

Inky Weekend

Hello folks,

What's a girl to do in lockdown other than play around with ink? One of my favourite colour combos over at Color Throwdown so I inked up one of my favourite sets (Doodle-Do from PTI) and got colouring:

My second card is for MFT's sketch challenge using Holiday Cheer (now retired) with some dp from the Very Merry Paper Pad.

Happy stamping!

Addicted to CAS - Christmas

 Hello inkers,

Here's a CAS card for Addicted to CAS where the code word is 'Christmas:'

I stamped a trio of cute penguins from Whimsy Stamps, coloured them with Copics and added a simple MFT frame and sentiment.  My favourite snowy embossing folder from Tim Holtz has added a bit of texture.

It's also going over to Addicted to Stamps and More in their 'any occasion' challenge.

Happy stamping!

Freshly Made Sketch #492

 Hello folks,

I haven't played along with Freshly Made Sketches for a few weeks but loved the simple sketch Cecile has created so had to get those inks out:

I've been inspired by a couple of other challenges which have very similar themes in their inspiration pics - The Card Concept and Fusion, particularly by the mix of neutral whites and creams together with the wood. I've added a splash of blue which is also featured in the Card Concept's inspiration picture.

Another old stamp for this one - Waltzingmouse's Simple Sprig with MFT's Woodplank background and a sentiment from PTI.

I'm popping this one into the clean and layered category!

Happy stamping!

You Had Me At Hello

 Hello again,

Another post, another card for four different challenges - Time Out  for their movie theme challenge (with optional glitz/glitter), Sunday Stamp's sketch challenge, Color Throwdown and Just Us Girls for their Word Week Challenge (script):

Can you remember the movie with the line 'you had me at hello?' It's from Jerry Maguire and it inspired me to ink up a newbie from CAS-ual Fridays, aptly named  Hello. I love the bold script style of the stamp and added a good slathering of clear glitter to the 'h' to really make it pop. The purple border stamp is an oldie from Waltzingmouse and the flowers are from Ink to Paper.

Thanks for popping by again,

Claire

MFT Sketch #548

Hello, happy weekend especially if you're in lockdown like we still are!

The only positive about being 'locked up' is having more time to get the inks out so here's a card I made using the sketch from MFT:

I used Christmas SELFies with DP from the Very Merry Paper Pad. I'm also popping this one over to Time Out which has a movie theme challenge. I've been inspired by Miracle on 34th Street - I think the cute MFT Santa looks just like the one in the movie. There's an optional twist to use glitter or glitz so I've given their hats a sprinkle of glitter.

I've got another card to show you but since that one's for Time Out as well I'll poop it on. another post!

Happy stamping!

Just Us Girls Challenge #590

Hello bloggers,

It's photo week over at Just Us Girls which inspired me to get out a new Christmas die I bought months ago:

I blended a distress ink night sky and added a shimmery moon with of the die cut. I backed the sledge and reindeer with white card stock so they'd show up more clearly against the sky - they're a lot clearer IRL!

Thanks for popping by!
