Time Out Neutrals

Hello again,

So after a fantastic run of it in Australia,  we've now been hit with a Covid scare in Sydney - borders closed, Christmas plans with Nanny and Poppy ruined unfortunately. Can't really complain since it's so much worse elsewhere in the world but it's so frustrating 3 days out from Christmas and all because some muppet has done the wrong thing!

Getting inky always puts me in a better frame of mind and I love the new inspiration pic over at Time Out.  All those pretty neutrals made me reach for an oldie but a goodie - Waltzingmouse's Folk Art Medallion. I white embossed the main image on to grout gray card stock and used gold and neutral inks to fill in the flowers. Of course an anniversary card has to have a bit of sparkle,  so I've added a couple of strips of silver sparkle card stock to the edges, using the latest Freshly Made Sketch as inspiration.

Here's hoping our latest outbreak is kept under control and we get to see the grandparents soon. Roll on 2021!

Thanks for popping by,

Claire

  1. I am sorry to hear your plans are cancelled for Christmas-it is a real pain. London it is raging and indoors is where we are! I am glad our photo inspired you Claire and one stunning card you have made. Love the background and adding the sentiment in black is the perfect finish. Thanks for playing with us all year-one more challenge to come on 31st! But heh if you want more inky time-how about making another card for this one...oh and I just spotted that touch of silver! Have a Happy Holiday and thanks for joining Time Out x

  3. Our Christmas plans are canceled too. It is so disappointing. The numbers in our state are not horrible but the ones around us are horrible. LOVE your pretty card. The colors are perfect. I love that stamp!!

  7. Gorgeous card Claire - congratulations! I recognised that beautiful stamp at once - boy I miss WMS! So sorry to hear your plans for Christmas were ruined. Lots of upset here too with kids unable to get home from uni when all transport to and from the UK was halted because of that new, more infectious strain of COVID there. 2020 wasn't about to go out without a fight! Hopefully your latest outbreak will be contained. Hopefully I'll be able to get the vaccine and come out to OZ next summer (your winter) and visit family. With an ageing mother and mother-in-law we have been very anxious this past year.
