Less is More has a Washi tape theme this week. I have a love/hate relationship with washi tape - all those rolls hanging up at the shops look so pretty and cry out for me to buy them. But then I get home and there they sit gathering dust until a challenge like this one comes along:
I layered the washi on some strips of card and die cut them using the dies from PTI's Lovely Layers. The sentiment is from the matching stamp set. It looked a bit bare so I stencilled a background with some gesso to add a bit of texture.
I'm also entering this into the AAA Card Challenge where the theme is die cuts.
Hope you get the time to join in with a few challenges this weekend! Thanks for stopping,
Claire x
Brilliant!! Love this idea Claire and your card is so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a really elegant design. I love how it's got a formal layout but softened by the patterns and warm colours - fabulous! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More :)
ReplyDeleteSo crisp and clean and a beautiful showcase of your washi tapes. Fantastic die-cuts too oand it's great to see you join us at both AAA Cards and Less is More this week. x
ReplyDeleteWhat a magnificent card Claire. A really imaginative use of the gorgeous washi tapes on a classy and visually striking design. Those colours really have a wow factor against the subtle honeycomb background. Thanks so much for sharing this with us at Less is More xx
